Letter to parents and children, 15 May 2020

Dear Children and Parents in Year 1,

We hope you have had a good week completing your home learning tasks and enjoyed the bank holiday weekend. We had some lovely VE day celebrations at home with our families.

Thank you for all your lovely emails and photos of your hard work. It is so lovely to see all the wonderful activities you are doing and all the new skills you are learning. We are so proud of you all. Keep up the good work and show your grown-ups just how clever you are. We look forward to your photos and messages again this week. We are planning to create a display using some of your photos at school when we return. Until then there is a slideshow of your work on the school website under Home Learning. Have a look and see if you can spot yourself and your friends.

We have set you some more learning tasks to do with your grown-ups. Please remember how clever you are and show your grown-ups how hard you work at school. Some of your grown-ups have told us you do not always want to complete your work at home. We understand this as it is very different working at home but by working hard with your family you will return to school as learning superstars.

Don’t forget it is National Share a Story month so try to read at least once a day. You can read books at home, use Bug Club or  by choosing the correct colour band.

We are sure that lots of you are starting to get excited about Eid. Although this celebration will be different to normal, we hope you enjoy your celebrations. We would love to see some photos to help us share in your celebrations. Remember to be good for your grown-ups and extra helpful at this busy time.

There are no Home Learning tasks during half term. Have a rest from schoolwork and enjoy some time with your family. We will be in touch in the new half term and hopefully may see some of you soon.

Eid Mubarak to you and your family,

Take care of yourselves and your family and stay safe

Stay safe and enjoy this time with your family.
