A typical day in a Year R Classroom at William Austin Infants

9.45am | Fruit and Milk  |
10.00am | Child-initiated activities (free choice) and free flow outdoors (some classes) |
11.30am | Carpet session |
12.00pm | Lunch |
1.15pm | Mindfulness |
1.25pm | Phonics or Maths carpet session |
1.45pm | Child-initiated activities (free choice) & free flow outdoor (for some classes) |
2.45pm | Story Time |
3.20pm | Home Time |
The day may differ depending on what is going on at the time and will be more relaxed at the beginning of the year. The carpet session before lunch varies each day, it would cover PSE, Values, Understanding the World, Music and RE. We also carry out cooking activities throughout the year.
