Diwali
To help celebrate Diwali, Children at William Austin Infant School have been learning about the celebration and have enjoyed taking part in a range of craft activities. Year R found out about some of the different ways people prepare for and celebrate Diwali. Year 1 learned about the story of Rama and Sita, ordering key events and making some Diva lamps. Year 2 looked more closely at the story of Rama and Sita, answering questions about what happened and thinking about the key message of good triumphing over evil. All the children enjoyed a special Diwali lunch menu on Friday 21st October.
