Roald Dahl Trip
Year 2 had a wonderful trip to The Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery in Aylesbury. We really enjoyed the people in the Gallery acting out some parts of his stories like ‘The Twits’. We thought it was hilarious when they showed us a disgusting glass eye, just like the one Mrs Twit used to trick Mr Twit. We had lots of opportunities to explore some of our favourite stories, such as Mr Fox’s tunnel, James and the Giant Peach, Matilda’s library and the BFG. During our visit we had huge amounts of fun exploring shadows, sound, minibeasts and we even explored how the green screen worked. We made an appearance on TV! Can you believe we even made our teachers disappear! Some of us travelled in Charlie’s glass elevator and we all got to participate in some drama activities like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
