Links with other schools
CAP Olympics 2024
Some of our Year 2 children recently had an exciting opportunity to take part in the ‘CAP Olympics’ at William Austin Junior School. Children from nine local schools had lots of fun competing in various sporting activities, including sprint relays, long jump and speed bounce to name a few! The children made friends with other children from different schools and were very proud of the medals they were awarded at the end of the event. They thoroughly enjoyed their version of the Olympics, showed great sportsmanship and supported and cheered on their peers.
Science Week
Some of our Year 2 children recently had an exciting opportunity to visit Denbigh Primary School to take part in an exciting range of Science activities to celebrate Science week.
They worked with other children from Denbigh Primary and St Josephs Primary Schools. The children enjoyed exploring which jobs use Science, how we can sort and classify animals, and created a boat using a range of materials.
William Austin Junior School Family Centre
The Family Centre at William Austin Junior School offers a selection of activities and classes, not only for parents of our two schools, but for families living in the community too.
