Our Lead teacher for English has looked at lots of different websites for some useful resources to further support the children's understanding of English.

 

Here are some she recommends...

  • Words for Life Words for Life is a website that offers reading and writing inspiration, challenges and fun from the National Literacy Trust
  • Storyberries Free fairytales, bedtime stories and poems for children
  • Reading Bug club For Year 1 and 2. Login details are on children's reading records. School login code is 'wais'
  • ICT Games A range of reading, spelling and phonics games.
  • Central Bedfordshire Library Central Bedfordshire Libraries have ebooks, audiobooks and other e-resources available. Anyone can sign up remotely to be an online member of Central Bedfordshire Libraries.
  • Get Epic A great reading resource with fiction and non-fiction e-books that can be read by your child or it can be read to them. Ask your class teacher for a code. You can read as a guest without entering your name.
  • Roy the Zebra.com Reading, spelling and grammar games for Year 1 and 2. (skip the adverts)
