Letter to parents and children, 15 May 2020
Dear Parents and Children of Year R,
We hope you have had a good week and enjoyed the long weekend with your family. We have seen lots of photos of work and activities you have completed at home and have seen some of you have been very busy. Make sure you check on the school website as we have put together some photos of you and your friends at home during lockdown. I am sure you would like to see what they have been up to!! Keep up the good work and keep trying hard!!
We have set you some more work to do with your grown-ups at home so please try to remember to do your best and complete it as well as you can!! We believe in you so make sure you believe in yourself!!!
The teachers in Year R have enjoyed receiving emails from you and your grown-ups. Please keep sending us photos of you doing different activities and of your work as we love to see what you have been up to. Don’t forget when we get back to school we will be printing out some of the photos to make a big display in school to show everyone what we have been up to during lockdown!!
Don’t forget to try and read every day at home. There are lots of free books you can read at the level you would be given from school on the following website: https://home.oxfordowl.co.uk/books/free-ebooks/ . Choose the colour book band you would normally read and then read the book with your grown up. Enjoy!!!! Also don’t forget to complete your Purple Mash activity set by the teachers each week. We love to see your work on there and we can write a message back to you too!!
No doubt you are starting to get excited about Eid coming up, it will be a bit different this year but we hope you can still enjoy your celebrations with your family and remember to try and be as helpful as you can as it is a busy time at home. Remember to take some photos of your celebrations and send them to us so we can see what a lovely time you had with your family.
We are all missing you lots but remember to stay safe, be good, listen to your grown-ups and be the stars we know you are!!!
There will be no work set over half term and we will be in touch in the new half-term and hopefully may see some of you soon!!
Eid Mubarak to you and your family!!!
Take care of yourselves and your families,
Hope to see you very soon,
Year R staff
