This year marks the 25th Anniversary of World Book Day! The message this year to all children was 'you are a reader.' 

The children wowed us all with their fantastic costumes, inspired by different book characters. Through out the day children completed a variety of exciting reading challenges and activities. The children completed book reviews, shared their favourite books, played guess the masked reader, created story character potatoes and so much more... 

All the children took part in a story quiz in the hall which they really enjoyed. Each class picked 3 players to represent them and go head to head to answer questions and win points. The class with the most points won a new book for their classroom. 

As part of World Book Day we also launched our 'Birthday Books.' 

If you want to celebrate your child’s birthday with their school friends, you can purchase a book for their classroom’s Birthday Book corner. The book you purchase can be enjoyed by your child and their classmates all year round. We will even put a special Birthday Book label in the book to mark your child’s birthday, and the gift you have bought for the class!
