Welcome to our School!
On behalf of the children, staff and governors I take great pleasure in welcoming you and your child to William Austin Infant School.
We are looking forward to your children starting school with us in September 2023 and building a positive working partnership with you and your family.
This is a new start for you and we know you may have slight reservations about us, even though you have made the decision to send your child to our school so I would like to offer you our full reassurances that you have made the right choice by choosing our school.
Some of you may be sending your child to our school for the very first time and for others it may be for the second, third time, or it could even be your final child starting in September. But we know you will all be feeling nervous and anxious, as it is a daunting experience especially under the current circumstances.
Our school is a well-established popular school and has a great reputation in the wider community and among our parents both former and current.
We can say this with great confidence, as our parents tell us this when they give us their personal views and feedback on our parent surveys, and through direct verbal comments to us.
In 2018 Ofsted judged us to be a good school and stated we have created a ‘friendly, welcoming and happy school where diversity is valued’. Our Ofsted good grading with outstanding elements has been a long standing judgement and it is a true reflection of what happens at our school on a daily basis.
Our school prides itself on the high standards of attainment and achievement and our EYFS data and End of KS1 results have been consistently above the National Averages over the years and maintained year on year.
We will endeavour to make it a seamless transition and a positive, happy experience for you and your child. We will do everything in our power to help your child settle in as best as we can. Your child will be very special to us as they are to you and will be treated with great care, kindness, thoughtfulness and attention.
You are entrusting us with your children and we have a duty of care towards them which we take very seriously. Our aims are to keep your children safe, secure, healthy and happy and to ensure they learn to be the very best they can be. We will in time get to know your children on an individual level so that there social and learning needs are personalised so they can achieve well academically, socially and emotionally.
