Road Safety Ambassadors

Road Safety Ambassadors 2023-2024

Our Road Safety Ambassadors will regularly monitor the traffic on William Austin Road and discuss environmental and mathematical questions based on the data collected. E.g.  What is the most common type of vehicle on William Austin Road? How many more cars were seen than vans?  How do most people travel on William Austin Road? What could the effect of this be on our air quality? The children will develop an awareness of the effects of traffic on air pollution. They will also consider the importance of choosing a sustainable mode of transport (when possible) to travel to school.
