Virtual Football Competition
During February the children were set a Football Challenge at home.
The children were asked to complete 2 challenges. The first challenge was called First Touch Challenge in which children had to score a goal with their first kick and note down how many goals they scored in 1 minute. The second challenge was called Target Race in which children had to dribble around an area and touch as many cones as they could with their ball. They noted down how many targets they touched in 1 minute. The children were very inventive with their resources. Some used sock balls for their ball and toys as their cones.
Lots of children chose to enter and their scores were sent to Active Luton. Teams in our school were lucky enough to come 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place. The winning teams were awarded a medal to celebrate their success. All children who took part received a certificate to celebrate their efforts.
