In Beech Class with Mrs Faulder we have spent the last few weeks designing, decorating and making our animal print pencil cases. We were set a challenge to create a new range of merchandise for Whipsnade Zoo and designed our own animal pattern pencil cases. We then used fabric paint or fabric crayons to transfer our design on to fabric (even with the interruption of a fire drill in the middle of painting!) we created some very striking designs. Then we used our fine moor skills to sew together our fabric using needle and thread, we all had a go at doing this independently and were very pleased with our final product. Some of us were able to show our friends how to use the needle and thread, watch out contestants of The Great British Sewing Bee!! We think they will sell very well in a gift shop! What animal patterns can you spot?
