2013-2014 Archive

During the year of 2013-14 children participated within the following competitions against their class mates, year groups and across the school.


December 2013

Winter Olympics competition

Children competed in a range of winter Olympics activities such as bobsleigh, free style skiing and alpine ski. Children had a wonderful time. In reception Green class won with 122 points.   In year 1 1P won with 123 points. In year 2 2D won with 167points.


June 2014

World Cup Football Competition

Children competed within a range of football activities on their playgrounds. The children applied their learning of ball skills to score points and work as a team. The children and parents all enjoyed the activities. Children were also invited to dress in sports kits. They also learnt about the world cup competition and countries which take part in class throughout the day. Each class in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 were divided into 5 teams named France, Australia, Mexico, Nigeria and Argentina. The scores from each team were gathered across the school and overall France was the winning country.


July 2014

Commonwealth Games Sports day

The children took part in a range of activities linked to the commonwealth games such as gymnastics, rugby, hockey and many more. They all had a great time. We would also like to say a big thanks you to all the parents which came along and supported the event. Each class chose a country and the trophy was given to the winning class within each year group.
