We planned to make a map of our journey so the children had to remember what they saw on the way. At the Cathedral we enjoyed exploring shape space and measure. We found 2D shapes in the floor tiles, we measured the length and width of the cathedral floor. We had some good ideas about how to measure the height of the cathedral ceiling. The children thought we could use a very long ladder or fly an aeroplane with a tape measure attached.
The children looked at the colourful stained glass windows and enjoyed making their own windows using cellophane.
