Friendship week takes place every year to highlight what bullying is and how we can prevent it from happening. At our school we have lessons and activities that take place during the week to inform children what bullying means. Children are made aware of what to do if they or someone else is being bullied. They are reminded bullying will not be tolerated and there are consequences for our actions. Each class created a friendship recipe to follow in order to be a good friend.
During friendship week at lunch time children from Year R, 1 and 2 took part in friendship club. Children had the opportunity to create friendship wreathes to go on display and bracelets which were given to a new friend. On Friday children had to work together in teams to make tall balloon towers. Mrs Malik’s team was the winning team.
Parents were invited into school to join their child in a friendship workshop. They worked together on different friendship activities.
A big thank you to all the parents who attended out Friendship/ Tolerance workshop.
